To my daughter on her first birthday,
One year later, here we are.
It was just 365 days ago that you came into the world, a perfect little girl. 
Since then, time has flown by — but I also can’t imagine a world without you in it.
I know I’m talking in sweeping cliches, but all of them are true.
You are the best thing I’ve ever done (besides marry your Mommy).
From the little things, like snuggles, tickles and kisses to the big things like watching you learn to crawl, talk and climb, everything we get to share is awesome.
In some ways, I feel like your first birthday is a finish line (we made it without dropping you!) and in others, it’s only the beginning. I mean, just now you are starting to become a little PERSON, with thoughts, feelings, emotions.
I love the way you blow kisses with FEELING.
I love the way you try to feed our dog anything you don’t want to eat.
I love the way you curl up in your mom’s arms when you are scared.
I love how you try to use my phone. All the time. (see above)
I love everything about you, Hava. And I can’t wait to see what’s next.
